Montserrat tour

The Sanctuary of the Virgin of Montserrat is more than a place of worship; it has always symbolized the identity of the Catalan people. First at all we will visit the Sanctuary, will understand what it represents for Catalan people, will learn about the Benedictine monks, and it's a must to greet the Black Madonna, Female Patroness Saint of Catalonia. But, when we go up to the mountain is not only for spiritual reasons, but to be in contact with the Natural Park as well. We will reach the very top of the mountain by funicular to hike following an easy path to see the magnificent views of Catalonia, the Pyrenees Mountains (border with France) and to admirer the peculiar shapes of Montserrat, reason of its name . (If hiking is not for you we can visit the museum of Art; to stop for a coffee; or to taste the typical crafts at the Farmers' Market). Finally we will listen the choirboys (the oldest one in Europe). On our outward journey, we can do the last part of our trip taken the cable car or the rack railway.
