Olympic diving swimming pool Montjuic hill in Barcelona. Full name is Centre Esportiu Municipal Piscina de Salts de Montjuïc (CEM). The Olympic diving pool in Barcelona was designed by Antoni de Moragas in 1992 for the diving events of the Barcelona 92 Olympic games. It has a seating capacity of 4.100 spectators and the panoramic views of the city provide a unique backdrop for diving events. In the summer the pool is open for swimming only. The Olympic diving pool was designed as a competition pool, so it is not part of a sports centre and there are no fitness facilities. The changing rooms are 20 years old now and could use a renovation. The swimming area is open in July and August, but only the swimming pool. The diving pool and boards are closed to the public. Also note that there are no deckchairs for sunbathing, so bring a thick towel to lie on. There is a small pool-side kiosk, where you can buy refreshments.
